I am a social entrepreneur.

🌠 My work is informed and driven by my life experiences. As a child and youth, I endured poverty and racism (having been raised by an immigrant single mother), extensive bullying and social exclusion (to the point I dropped out of school), sexual abuse, and growing up in a cult. My experiences as a survivor make me deeply empathetic to the suffering of others. I believe in lifting everyone up. In my work, volunteering, research, and advocacy, I fight to challenge oppressive systems and work towards a more just and equitable world. My trauma previously has made me a private person, but I am now learning to open up and express myself and my truth.

🌱 As an environmentalist, I am deeply concerned about the implications of a future ecological collapse caused by habitat destruction, pollution, eutrophication of our oceans, species loss and global warming. I am the Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of Regenesis, an environmental organization that works directly with post-secondary students and institutions to address the ecological crisis.

🙋🏽‍♂️ I volunteer extensively. Currently, my primary volunteer focus is on creating affordable housing in Canada. I co-founded Guyana Community House, which aims to create an affordable housing facility and community centre to serve the 200,000+ Guyanese Canadian diaspora.

🤗 I believe in giving back, and I will always be open to meeting with people. I like helping others by providing advice and assistance where I can (e.g. giving career advice, reviewing resumes, providing university scholarship and admissions advice, providing insight into my industries). I am open to considering media interviews, speaking engagements, and discussing potential partnerships and proposals with post-secondary institutions, charities, non-profit organizations and social enterprises.
